VICTORIA BROOKS SELECTED
FOR AMERICAN IMPRESSIONISTS SOCIETY (AIS) SIGNATURE ARTISTS STATUS!
The American Impressionist Society (AIS) has designated Victoria Brooks for the honorable Signature Membership status. As a Signature Member she is entitled
to use the initials AIS following a signature on a painting, prints and reproductions of original work. This honor means that Victoria will be joining the premiere artists representing AIS to the international art community. In 2007 Victoria’s painting "Nature's Glow" was one of 81 paintings selected for the annual national exhibition held at the Hilligoss Galleries in Chicago, IL.

AND ACRYLIC PAINTER'S SOCIETY (NOAPS) SIGNATURE ARTISTS' GUILD!

By virtue of her professional success and "consistent excellence" Victoria was honored during an official induction held on Saturday, November 5, 2005.
She attended the NOAPSociety National Convention, Award Ceremony, the formal Reception in Osage Beach, Missouri, USA. This honor means that Victoria Brooks will be joining the "creme de la crème" of artists representing NOAPS to the international art community. A Signature Artist Member is entitled to use the initials NOAPS following a signature on a painting, prints and reproductions of original work. 

VICTORIA BROOKS WINS FIRST PLACE IN NATIONAL "PLEIN AIR" PAINTING EVENT!
Victoria was one of 40 plein air artists nationwide to be chosen to participate in the Chico, CA "Plein Air Painting in Sherwood Forest" a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 11-mile long Bidwell Park. The 1938 "Adventures of Robin Hood" was filmed there. Judge Gerald Brommer, America Watercolor Society signature member and author of 18 art instruction books chose Victoria's painting
"First Light" as the 1st Place winner with an award of $2,225. The event, which ran from July 19th to July 23rd 2005, culminated in a silent and then live auction in which both her competition paintings sold.

Victoria was also awarded
"Best of Show" and 1st Place in oil painting for the Placer Arts League membership show in June 2005, judged by the founder of the School of Color and Light: Susan Sarback

In March 2006, Victoria won "Best of Show" for her painting "Mongolian Reception" in the juried show called "Animal House at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center, judged by well known artist and instructor, Penny Soto.

PLEIN AIR WORKSHOPS: These 2-day workshops are from 9am-4 pm, Saturday and Sunday. They will begin at Victoria's Loomis Studio (east of Sacramento) and then go to other nearby scenic areas to paint. May 14-22, 2008: French Escapade Workshops has invited Victoria to teach "Painting and Sightseeing in the French Alps" a 9-day oil and watercolor painting workshop. Our small group of only

PAINT IN IRELAND WITH VICTORIA BROOKS IN AUGUST 2008!
August 13-23, 2008: Victoria has been invited by Toscana Americana Workshops to teach "Painting Irish Treasures". August 18- 26, 2006: "Estes Park Plein Air 2007". Victoria was selected to participate in this month long painting competition and exhibition of the Rocky Mountain National Park, CO. Please see the website for more information www.EstesArts.com

October 30-November 10, 2007: Victoria Brooks' Student Show. Victoria is pleased to announce her first juried student show at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. The reception will be November 10, 6-9 pm during Sacramento’s Second Saturday’s Art Openings. "People's Choice Award" will be a one 6-week session of "Impressionist Oil Painting Classes" by Victoria Brooks at SFAC. November 9-11, 2007: Autumn Arts Studio Tour. Victoria will open her studio to the public along with 90 other juried Placer County artists. 10-5 pm.
