VICTORIA BROOKS SELECTED FOR NATIONAL OIL AND ACRYLIC PAINTER’S SOCIETY (NOAPS) SIGNATURE ARTISTS’ GUILD! By virtue of her professional success and “consistent excellence” Victoria was honored during an official induction held on Saturday, November 5, 2005. She attended the NOAPSociety National Convention, Award Ceremony, the formal Reception in Osage Beach, Missouri, USA. This honor means that Victoria Brooks will be joining the “creme de la crème” of artists representing NOAPS to the international art community. CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

WEEKLY IMPRESSIONIST OIL CLASSES: Tuesdays, 12:30-3:30 pm. They are in 4 or 6 week sessions. Classes will be taught at University Art on Fulton and Marconi in Sacramento. These classes are for all levels of painters. The next session starts September 2, 2009 and will go for 4 weeks. The cost is $120.00 with a class size limit of 12. ONE DAY IMPRESSIONIST OIL PAINTING WORKSHOPS: Wednesday, July 8th and Wednesday July 29, 2009. 10 am-3 pm. These workshops will be taught at University Art on Fulton and Marconi in Sacramento. PLEIN AIR PAINTING WORKSHOPS: These 2-day workshops are from 9 am-4 pm, Saturday and Sunday. They will begin at Victoria's Loomis Studio (east of Sacramento) and then go to other nearby scenic areas to paint. The cost for each weekend is $175.00 per person. PAINT IN CAPRI, POSITANO AND THE AMALFI COAST (ITALY) WITH VICTORIA BROOKS IN OCTOBER 2009! October 14-22, 2009: Victoria will be teaching this plein air painting workshop where we will capture the most lovely and historical coastline of Italy. During our nine days of travel, we will explore and paint the beautiful island of Capri, the charming seaside village of Positano (filmed in the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun"), the romantic cliff side city of Ravello, and other scenic areas of the Amalfi coastline. PAINT IN PROVENCE, FRANCE WITH VICTORIA BROOKS IN AUGUST 2010! August 28 - September 4, 2010: French Escapade Workshops has invited Victoria to teach "Painting and Sightseeing in the Provence" an 8-day oil and watercolor painting workshop. Discover why Provence has been an inspiration for thousands of artists like Van Gogh, Cezanne, etc. Our small group of only 7 students will be staying in an elegantly restored farmhouse dating from the XVIIth century located in the heart of Provence, Luberon. Each room has a full private bathroom. Day 1 We start our trip with a champagne welcome reception after we are picked up at the Avignon Train Station. We will have time to explore the village and get settled in the guest house before our gourmet dinner. Day 2 is painting the beautiful Ochre hilltop village of Roussillon, where the reddish pigment has been used by artists for centuries. Day 3 will be painting the market and hilltop village of Gordes with panoramic views across fields, vineyards and forests. Day 4 is Palais des Papes (the 14th century Pope's Palace) in Avignon where we will also find shops and museums to browse. Day 5 is a day to paint at our guest house or in the cute but non touristy village of Luberon. Day 6 we will paint on the Van Gogh's Trail in St. Remy de Provence, an emotional walking trip that inspired the great impressionist which ends in the beautiful old monastery of St Paul Mausole and the bedroom where Van Gogh stayed. Day 7 will be the village of Venasque: A true artistic gem with views, interesting streets, houses and a medieval rampart to paint. Day 8 is our departure day. July 13-18, 2009: 4th ANNUAL FRANK BETTE PLEIN AIR PAINT-OUT: Victoria was selected to participate in this painting competition and exhibition on the beautiful Island city of Alameda, CA. September 9-13, 2009: NORTH TAHOE PLEIN AIR: Victoria has been selected to participate in this Plein air Painting competition and exhibition.
